Here are my notes for Units 8 through 15 of Modern India (Paper -II of History Optional). I referred to Prof. Bipan Chandra's Modern India, Sekhar Bandyopadhyay's From Plassey to Partition, IGNOU B.A. Notes, selfstudyhistory.com and my own graduation notes.
For the past few days, I've been bombarded with requests for my complete book-list. Quite understandable, as aspirants are confused by the multiplicity of sources available in the market as well as the numerous recommendations by their coaching institutes. Since the syllabus is already pretty vast, there is a need to limit sources and then make notes accordingly, so as to not waste time on books that have a low cost benefit ratio. Without further ado, here's the book-list that I followed. Hello Ma'am, how one should Upinder Singh after reading and making notes from R. S. Sharma as Upinder Singh is comprehensive and R. S. Sharma covers almost everything in the syllabus ?

ReplyDeleteIn about 4 months i have completed the first reading of all the books and material of GS. And now I am starting for my revision. I have also analysed the past papers and read their solutions, So now please tell me that should i do those topics from past papers and randomly search similar topics from google and make notes or should i start revising from the sources i read till now and prepare a basic note on EVERY topic related to syllabus. I AM CONFUSED. PLZZ HELP!
